CÁDIZ Construction work for the Tía Norica Puppet Theatre in Cádiz has resumed after delays brought about by the discovery on site of important archaeological remains. The theatre is situated between two narrow streets with traffic, making the insulation of façade, doors, windows a major priority. GARCIA-BBM is designing specific insulation solutions for the theatre´s building elements.

COX (ALICANTE) GARCIA-BBM has been responsible for providing assessment during the construction of the School of Music and Auditorium of Cox. This impressive building is practically finished. The stage and acoustic shell have been installed. Measurements carried out in the Auditorium and in the different rooms within the building indicate excellent acoustic conditions throughout.

SIERO (ASTURIAS) The Technical Office of Urban Planning of the Municipal Council of Siero have created a Cultural Complex comprising an Auditorium, a Library-Cultural Centre and a Music Conservatory. The Auditorium has been completed and GARCIA-BBM is now offering acoustic assessment during the construction of the Library and Music Conservatory. The Library is a two storey building, trapezial in shape and with 2.070,8 m2 of usable surface area. The Music Conservatory in the adjacent building consists of two intersecting floors.

PATERNA (VALENCIA) GARCIA-BBM has been collaborating with the Studio of Architecture of Paterna in the Project to construct an Auditorium and a Conservatory for the Teaching of Music for Professionals of Intermediate Level. The company is responsible for ensuring that the acoustics within the different rooms is adapted to the uses or activities for which the rooms have been designed. Construction is well under way. The interior finishes of the building and the final noise measurements have still to be completed.

CANTOBLANCO (MADRID) Vías y Construcciones S.A. have required the services of GARCIA-BBM to analyse the antivibratory system to be adopted in the rooms of the Imdea Nanociencia Building which is being built in the Campus of the Autonomous University of Cantoblanco in Madrid.
